Let's capture your senior year!
FAQ
What should I wear for my senior portraits?
A dress is always great. I love whites, bright colors, and pastels. I typically say to avoid stripes, very busy prints, and plain black dresses.
When having photos with your cap & gown, a white dress looks best underneath. Cap & gown does not count as an additional outfit, these are considered props.
If you aren't a dress girl, try for something dressy-casual, like jeans and a blouse with a pop of color, jewelry, and heels. If you're doing 2 outfits, you can do both looks of course.
Some people like to do college tees in their outfits. You can dress up the college tee with a skirt and fun jewelry, or you can keep it more casual with jean shorts and cowgirl boots.
When choosing outfits, make sure it's something you're comfortable and confident in.
Should I get my hair & makeup done?
My answer to this is always yessss!!!
I know I always feel my best after getting my hair done. You will look and feel your best when you get yourself pampered.
These will make your photos extra glamorousss!
How does the location selection process work?
Once a client books a session with me I will email you a booking guide. This booking guide will include location ideas for you to look through. However, I am ALWAYS open to client ideas & suggestions. I love trying new locations!
I recommend determining what type of location you'd like first. Urban, beach, field, studio, etc. Once you've determined the type of location we can start discussing specific location options.
Can I bring props?
Yes, pls!
Props are always fun for senior sessions. Some ideas for props include:
- confetti poppers
- university flag/banner
- college acceptance letter/banner
- cap & gown
- extra curricular items such as: soccer ball, cleats, instrument, etc.
- balloons
- flower bouquet
- college memorabilia
- books
How do I pose? What do I do with my hands?
Please do not stress about posing. This is always the first thing a new clients says to me, "I don't know how to pose or what to do." I promise, I got you.
I will be there to guide you and prompt you for flattering, sweet, and candid portraits. I'll be your posing guide!
What happens if there's bad weather?
If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling the session or finding an indoor location. I want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and I am flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.
I do my best to keep dates blocked off in my calendar for backup situations like this!
